Prior to launching LARC, Laura gained deep experience through her work in local, national and international foundations at a senior level. Most recently, Laura was Program Executive at Atlantic Philanthropies, a $4 billion international spend-down foundation where she served as Head of the U.S. Program on Aging, managing a $167 million grant portfolio. At the John A. Hartford Foundation, she conceived and implemented the growth of a $5 million program into a $59 million investment in health professionals.

Laura is a frequent public presenter as well as a panel facilitator, including speaking engagements at the Harvard University Social Enterprise annual meeting, New York University, Grantmakers in Aging, the Council on Foundations, and the Forum of Regional Association of Grantmakers.


Laura is an immediate past Board member of Philanthropy New York (a regional association of grantmakers) and was the founding Vice President of Grantmakers in Aging (a national network of grantmakers.) Laura was confirmed as a member of the National Network of Consultants to Grantmakers and serves on its Advisory Committee for the Foundation Review. Assisting her alma mater, Laura was elected to the Cornell University Council.


Laura earned a BS from Cornell University, RD at the University of Kansas Medical Center, MS at Michigan State University and MBA at New York University.
